Medical Disclaimer

Important: This article is for general education only and does not replace consultation with a doctor or healthcare professional. If you experience severe symptoms such as chest pain, shortness of breath, fainting, one-sided body weakness, severe confusion, or other emergency conditions, seek medical help immediately.

What iSehat Does

  • Helps record health measurement data
  • Displays rule-based structured interpretation
  • AI helps read numbers from health device photos
  • User verifies data before saving
  • Creates reports to bring to your doctor
  • General health education
  • AI Clinical Copilot helps understand health data with a 13-detector Safety Runtime
  • WhatsApp AI for education and emergency guidance

What iSehat Does NOT Do

  • Diagnose diseases (standard mode)
  • Prescribe medication (standard and proactive modes)
  • Adjust medication dosages (standard and proactive modes)
  • Replace doctors
  • Determine emergency conditions without deterministic rules
  • Guarantee cures
  • Change or stop the user's medication (all modes)
  • Use AI without Safety Runtime supervision

1. Not Medical Advice

All content on this website, in the iSehat application, and from iSehat AI features is provided for general education and health recording assistance only. It is NOT medical advice, and it does not establish a patient-doctor relationship.

The Medical Disclaimer always applies: iSehat is not a doctor replacement, not a diagnostic tool, and does not prescribe medication (except in super aktif mode approved by a medical reviewer). Every AI output passes through a 13-detector Safety Runtime and includes a medical disclaimer.

2. No Diagnosis, No Prescription

iSehat does not diagnose diseases, does not prescribe medication, and does not give dosage instructions (in standard and proactive modes). The interpretation shown by the application is generated by structured, deterministic rules — not by AI — and is intended to help you understand and discuss your measurements with a healthcare professional.

Never start, change, or stop any medication based on the application. Always follow the instructions of your treating doctor.

3. Emergencies — Act First

iSehat is not an emergency service. If you or someone you are caring for experiences any of the following, seek emergency medical help immediately — do not wait for the application:

  • Chest pain, pressure, or tightness;
  • Severe shortness of breath or difficulty breathing;
  • Fainting or loss of consciousness;
  • One-sided weakness, facial drooping, or difficulty speaking (possible stroke);
  • Severe confusion, altered mental state, or severe headache with no known cause;
  • Very high or very low blood pressure or blood glucose accompanied by severe symptoms;
  • Seizures;
  • Severe allergic reactions;
  • Any condition you believe is life-threatening.

In Indonesia, call the emergency number 119 (ambulance) or 112 (emergency), or go to the nearest emergency department. When the application detects red flags, it shows deterministic emergency guidance (emergency template only — no free-form AI advice) to help you act quickly.

4. Rule-Based Interpretation vs. AI

The application's measurement status and severity are determined by structured medical rules (HL_metricRules), not by AI. These rules are the primary source of interpretation and can never be downgraded by AI.

AI (AI Clinical Copilot, WhatsApp AI) assists by explaining, summarizing, and reading data — for example, reading numbers from a photo of your device display. Every AI output is checked by 13 safety detectors before it reaches you, and every output includes an automatic medical disclaimer. AI is never the sole source of a medical severity decision.

5. Measurement Accuracy

The accuracy of your data depends on your devices and measurement technique. To keep data reliable:

  • Follow the instruction manual of your blood pressure monitor, glucose meter, or other device;
  • Measure under consistent conditions (for example, at rest, at a consistent time of day);
  • Verify every reading before saving it, including readings captured with the AI photo feature;
  • Contact the device manufacturer if a device appears faulty;
  • Discuss unusual measurements with your doctor rather than interpreting them alone.

If you suspect a device reading is wrong, re-measure and, where possible, use another device before drawing any conclusion.

6. Medications

iSehat can help you log your medications, but it must never be used to change, stop, or add any medication. Changing or stopping prescribed medication without a doctor's approval can be dangerous. Medication-related questions must always be discussed with your doctor or pharmacist.

7. Reports Are Records, Not Diagnoses

The 30-day PDF reports generated by the application are chronological records of your measurements, symptoms, and medication logs. They are tools to support discussions with your doctor — they are not diagnoses, not medical opinions, and not a substitute for examination.

8. Special Populations

Interpretations in the application may not be appropriate for everyone. Take extra care if you are:

  • Pregnant or breastfeeding — many reference ranges differ during pregnancy;
  • A child or caring for a child — pediatric reference ranges differ significantly;
  • Living with a chronic condition such as diabetes, heart disease, or kidney disease;
  • Taking multiple medications — interactions and target ranges may differ;
  • An older adult — target ranges and interpretations may need adjustment.

In these cases, rely on your treating healthcare professional's guidance, and inform them of the measurements you record.

9. AI Operating Modes

The AI Clinical Copilot operates in 3 modes controlled by the platform administrator (Super Admin). Mode changes are audited and require medical reviewer approval when configured:

  • Standard (default): AI does NOT give final diagnoses, prescriptions, or dosages — it only helps explain and guide;
  • Proactive: AI MAY give a final diagnosis, but NEVER prescriptions or dosages;
  • Super Aktif: AI MAY give final diagnoses AND prescriptions AND dosages (approved by a medical reviewer).

In ALL modes: AI must never change or stop the user's medication, must never downgrade a severity determined by rules, must never reassure on red-flag conditions, and every output carries the automatic medical disclaimer.

10. AI Limitations and Verification

AI can make mistakes. AI explanations are generated to help you understand your data — they are not a substitute for professional judgment. Always verify AI statements against reliable sources and your doctor. Never make emergency or medication decisions based solely on an AI response.
